Wind Atlases

NEWA

New European Wind Atlas described in two GMD papers (1, 2)

Global Wind Atlas is a free, web-based application to help policymakers, planners, and investors identify high-wind areas for wind power generation.

Software

WindKit

WindKit is a Python framework for wind resource assessment. It provides a set of tools for working with wind data, including reading and writing different file formats, and performing common analysis tasks.

PyWAsP

PyWAsP is a Python interface to the WAsP core models. It allows for scriptable wind resource assessment and AEP estimation using the industry-standard WAsP models.
